Tim Lowery


Tim Lowery joined JSR in 1996. Throughout that time, he has supported JSR in several capacities including National Sales Manager and as CEO of MBLI, a JSR Life Sciences company. Tim was instrumental in establishing JSR’s life sciences focused business, spearheading the company’s M&A activities and overseeing the North American life science operations. As president, he is responsible for the development and integration of global strategies among all the JSR Life Sciences companies, which include Crown Bioscience, KBI Biopharma, Inc., MBL and Selexis SA. He serves as a board member for Selexis and chairman of the board for KBI Biopharma. Tim holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.


Jean-Pierre Wery, Ph.D.


Dr. Jean-Pierre Wery joins us from Crown Bioscience where he served as Chief Executive Officer. He brings with him over 20 years of experience in various scientific and management positions such as Chief Scientific Officer at Monarch Life Sciences and Vice President of Computational Drug Discovery at Vitae Pharmaceuticals. As Chief Technology Officer of JSR Life Sciences, he will lead our efforts to expand our scientific capabilities and technology leadership. In parallel, he will continue to work closely with CrownBio as he transitions from the role of CrownBio Chief Executive Officer to that of Executive Chairman.Dr. Wery received his B.S. and Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Liege, Belgium. Following his Ph.D., he completed postdoctoral studies at Purdue University with Professor Jack Johnson and has authored over 50 abstracts and publications.


Koichi Hara

EVP, Strategic Planning

Koichi Hara joined JSR in 2003. Since then, his work focused on administration and business planning that helped provide excellent leadership for the JSR Corp, JSR Micro and JSR Life Sciences business planning group.Before joining JSR, Hara-san worked for SAP Japan and Chiyoda Corporation. At Chiyoda Corporation, he was responsible for Asia sales that mainly focused on major Japanese oil and chemical plants, but also life science related laboratories and plant construction projects for pharma. As our new Executive Vice President of Strategic Planning for JSR’s North American holding company, Hara-san will be responsible for accelerating the growth of all businesses supported by the JSR NAHQ as part of our effort to enhance JSR's global competitiveness. Hara-san holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from Meiji University.
